One thing after several months in Colombia I was sometimes missing a bit was the change in weather.
With this I not only mean the seasons we have here in Germany, but also that there's a bad weathers week and then a good weathers week and then a windy week etc.
Ok, to sum it up, in Germany there are from my point of view more divers weather situations.
The backside is that one always has to think about the wheater when planning. And of course most people would really love to have Colombian weather conditions here!
Maybe this diversity makes Germans so much talking about the weather ... they just never get bored of it as it changes that much. ;-)
During my thesis (Dec 2003 to Jun 2004) I was talking two picture everyday at around 1 pm:
One picture of our garden and another one just at even level out of my window:
What you can see:
- The seasons: starting in winter over spring until the begin of summer.
- On the early pictures the sun is even at noon only very low over the horizont and is still visible in the top of the photos.
- On picture 521 sand from Sahara made the air yellowish.
- The transition from picture 608 to picture 610 nicely demonstrates the sometimes fast changes of weather.
- The trees started growing leaves from picture 715 (27th of April) on.
- Picture 962 (12th June) shows one of the first thunderstorms this year.
- In our garden snow is melting from the lower right to the upper left (see picture 570 and following).
